Social saw a big push in this category in the second half of May, while Search has been flat.
BEAUTY & PERSONAL CARE

Social took a few weeks to get going, but all three channels showed consistent spending growth in the Beauty & Personal Care.
HOBBIES & LEISURE

This is a broad category that includes everything from Gaming to Pets & Animal Care, so there may be contradictory elements at play. It was also an early mover in the pandemic, with spending surges in Ecommerce & Search before we even entered April.
FOOD & GROCERIES

This is a category where the Ecommerce channel has clearly established its importance during the pandemic, particularly in the second half of the quarter.
HOME & GARDEN

This is another case where much of the spending momentum in the Ecommerce channel actually happened at the end of March and very beginning of April.
FINANCE

Social spending in the Finance category grew around the time of the U.S economic stimulus and then started growing again as we approached the extended income tax deadline.
Travel
TRAVEL& TOURISM

After shedding the majority of spending in the category at the end of Q1, Travel has been slowly but surely growing each and every week of the second quarter.

Ecommerce vertical or category refers to all retail and ecommerce advertisers across delivery channels.

The Ecommerce channel refers to sponsored product and sponsored brand ads on major online marketplaces and includes Amazon and Walmart.

Search data includes Google, Microsoft, Apple Search Ads, and some others.

Social data includes Facebook, Pinterest and some Snapchat data.
